A body has been found in the search for a teenager missing since Sunday.

Silas Humphreys, 16, was reported missing from the Black Isle on Sunday afternoon having last been seen in the village of Balblair.

Police issued a public appeal to find the 16-year-old earlier on Monday but later confirmed a body had been discovered in the search.

Mr Humphreys' family have been made aware.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course, as is standard procedure."

"Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time," police added.
