A driver who smashed into a bus stop and hit a pedestrian was more than four times over the drink limit.

Linda Cowan lost control of her Vauxhall Corsa and careered into Ian Killoh at a bus stop in Perth.

Mr Killoh was taken to Ninewells Hospital while his dog Diesel ran off and was only traced after a social media appeal.

Cowan appeared from custody at Perth Sheriff Court and admitted driving while she was under the influence of alcohol.

The 67-year-old also admitted driving dangerously.

Sheriff William Wood told Cowan: "The nature of the charges are serious.

"The court will want some background information to work out what the sentence should be."

He deferred sentence for the preparation of a social work background report and released Cowan on bail.

She was banned from driving on an interim basis.
