These vintage tractors will be used for something a bit unusual at the Fettercairn Show in Aberdeenshire this weekend.

The tractors will be used to play a game of football, which will be in coloured teams - orange, blue, red and grey.

A specially made 6ft ball will be "kicked" about by the three-a-side teams in a series of four matches on Saturday.

Mike Robertson, chairman of Mearns Vintage Vehicle Club, said: "The ball took quite a bit of making. And the pitch will have a buffer round it.

"The ball will be getting a bit of a hard time. The goals will be two bales, about 20 yards apart, but there will be no goalkeepers.

"We'll have to look at what to do if we have penalties.

"We just wanted to do something a bit different."
