Female cyclist dies in crash with lorry on city street
Police were called to the collision in Bridgend, Perth, just before midday.
A female cyclist has died after a collision with a lorry on a street in Perth.
Emergency services were called to reports of the crash on Main Street, in the Bridgend part of the city, shortly before midday on Saturday.
The road has been closed for most of the day, with police earlier advising people to avoid the area.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a woman has sadly died following a road traffic collision on Main Street, Bridgend, Perth, on Saturday.
"The incident was reported to police about 11.50am and involved a pedal cyclist and a large goods vehicle.
"The road is currently closed to facilitate the investigation."
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 1818 of July 7.
