A motorcycle procession has been held at the funeral of a man who was allegedly murdered.

Steven Donaldson was found dead at the Kinnordy Nature Reserve in Kirriemuir, Angus, after allegedly being stabbed before being set on fire.

More than a dozen bikers gathered in Millgate Loan, Arbroath, to join the 27-year-old on his final journey to the town's Western Cemetery.

Tasmin Glass, 19, Callum Davidson, 23, and Steven Dickie, also 23, appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court accused of his murder last month.

It is alleged the trio arranged to meet the oil worker at the Peter Pan Play Park in Kirriemuir before repeatedly striking him on the leg and body with a knife or similar instrument.

They are also accused of hitting him on the head with an "unknown heavy bladed instrument".

The three are then said to have transported him to the Loch of Kinnory Nature Reserve where prosecutors say they continued to assault him by repeatedly striking him on the head and body with a knife.

It is alleged they then set fire to Mr Donaldson and his BMW car before he later died.
