Three people have been injured after a car careered off a road and struck a bridge.

The crash happened on the B993 near Torphins in Aberdeenshire shortly after 4pm on Saturday.

Three people were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

Officers closed the road for several hours while investigations were carried out.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Three vehicles were involved but one left the road and struck a parapet."
