Woman dies after harbour helicopter rescue in Moray
The woman was pulled from the water at Buckie Harbour on Monday night.
A woman has died after being rescued from the sea at a harbour in Moray.
The alarm was raised by a member of the local coastguard team at Buckie Harbour at around 7pm on Monday.
The 61-year-old woman was pulled from the water and flown by helicopter to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where she later died.
The RNLI’s Buckie lifeboat also participated in the rescue.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed the woman had died but said there were no suspicious circumstances.
