Children were forced to flee after a man approached them in a park.

The incident happened in Fintry Park on Cheviot Crescent in Dundee at 4.30pm on Thursday.

A man entered from Findhorn Street before speaking to them. The children were alarmed and ran off.

They later saw him again on Fintry Drive but they were not followed.

Officers believe the man is in his 30s and has short dark hair. He was wearing a blue top, white shorts and has a mole on his right calf.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "There is every possibility that the man's actions have been genuine and he has not intended to alarm the children, however, we would like to identify him in order to speak with him."
