A large-scale search has been launched for a man who has been missing for three days.

Martyn Cruickshank, 42, was last seen at Turretbank Drive in Crieff around 10pm on Monday.

Police said concerns are mounting for Mr Cruickshank's welfare and are appealing for anyone who sees him to get in touch.

Specialist search units are currently looking for the missing man, with mountain rescue teams, search and rescue dogs and a helicopter assisting in the operation.

Members of the public are also combing the areas around Crieff and Comrie, a police spokeswoman said.

Mr Cruickshank is described as being 5ft 9ins tall, with dark hair and of slim build. He is thought to be wearing a distinctive red Helly Hansen ski jacket.

Anyone living in Perthshire near to Crieff and Comrie is asked to check their outbuildings and keep an eye out for the missing man.

Those with private CCTV cameras are also asked to check for signs of Mr Cruickshank.
