A woman has died following a road crash at Trump International Golf Links Scotland in Aberdeenshire.

The 38-year-old woman was driving a black VW Golf around 3pm on Saturday near the entrance of the golf course on the A90 at Menie.

The road was closed while officers examined the scene of the single-vehicle crash.

A police spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can report that the earlier accident on the A90 near to Balmedie is now being treated as a fatal road accident.

"The road will remain closed while inquiries are carried out and no further details will be released until next of kin have been informed."
