A woman who died after crashing her car at Trump International Golf course in Aberdeenshire has been named.

Casey Rodger from Balmedie was driving a black VW Golf next to the entrance of the course on the A90 near Menie.

There were no other vehicles involved in the incident, which happened at 3pm on Saturday.

Officers have appealed for witnesses in a bid to establish the full circumstances.

Sergeant Stuart Lawrence said: "My thoughts remain with the family and friends of the woman who has sadly died.

"I would ask anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle involved travelling on the road prior to the incident to contact Police Scotland on 101."
