A man has been taken to hospital after plunging into a swamp in a park.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Seaton Park in Aberdeen shortly after 10.45am on Tuesday.

A man in his 40s had to be pulled out before being taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

He suffered minor injuries and was very cold and wet.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 10.47pm on Monday to attend an incident at Seaton Park in Aberdeen.

"Two specialist operations teams and an ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one male patient was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary."
