Up to ten men were involved in a brawl in a bar after the Aberdeen v Rangers League Cup match.

The fight happened in Prohibition on Langstane Place in Aberdeen at 1.30am on Monday, October 29, following the semi-final game.

A 19-year-old man suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Constable Grant Hardie said: "It is believed a number of men were involved in a disturbance within the area between the bar and the dancefloor at Prohibition and a 19-year-old man was seriously assaulted.

"The premises would have been busy at that time, with many people enjoying the build up to Halloween, and returning from Glasgow where Aberdeen played Rangers at Hampden.

"It is also understood that this incident may have been captured on mobile phone cameras.

"This incident has resulted in the victim suffering a serious injury. There is no excuse for violent behaviour of any kind and incidents like this will be thoroughly investigated."
