A woman who died during a farmhouse fire in Aberdeen has been named by police.

Roseanne Ogilvie, 66, was inside the property on Anguston Road, Peterculter, when the blaze happened around 3pm on Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to the scene but police later confirmed the 66-year-old had died.

A man who was rescued from the house was treated for minor injuries.

Members of Ms Ogilvie's family said they have been left "devastated" over her death.

In a statement, they said: "Roseanne was a loving mother and partner.

"We have been left devastated by this tragic incident and would ask that our privacy is respected at this very difficult time."

An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective inspector Sam Buchan said: "Our thoughts are with Roseanne's family at this sad time.

"Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing in conjunction with the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, however, we do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances."
