A pensioner has died after a three-vehicle crash at a roundabout.

Pearl Forbes, from Aberdeen, died following the smash at the city's Haudagain roundabout on North Anderson Drive.

The 89-year-old was a passenger in a grey Citroen C3 which was driven by a 78-year-old woman, who was seriously injured following the crash at 2.25pm on Thursday.

Ms Forbes later died in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Sunday.

A black Volkswagen Tiguan which was being driven by a 60-year-old woman and a silver Honda Accord driven by a 45-year-old man were also involved in the crash.

Sergeant Kelly Manson said: "My thoughts, and that of my officers, are very much with the family and friends of Mrs Forbes who sadly died in this collision.

"I would appeal to anyone who may have seen the collision or who may have seen either vehicle shortly beforehand and who hasn't yet spoken with police to do so as a matter of urgency to help us piece together exactly what happened."
