Police have released images of a Rangers fan they believe can help with their investigation into an incident following a Scottish Cup match.

Shortly after the quarter final clash between Rangers and Aberdeen at Pittodrie Stadium on Sunday, March 3, a man was taken to hospital with a head injury.

Officers are now seeking to trace the man pictured as it is believed he may be able to help assist them with their enquiries.

Constable Tom Bashforth said: "I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or who recognises the man pictured to contact police."

Police Scotland previously confirmed five men and a woman were reported to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to disorder offences and the use of a pyrotechnic device during the match.

Officers are also aware of an incident which involved seats being thrown by both home and visiting supporters towards opposing fans during the clash at Pittodrie, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
