A senior NHS director is being investigated over claims he was caught having sex in his office.

Dr Drew Walker, a director of public health at NHS Tayside, is facing allegations of improper conduct.

The 64-year-old has been accused of having sex with a woman in his office before a colleague walked in.

A major investigation is being carried out in NHS Tayside while Jeane Freeman, the cabinet secretary for health and sport, has also been made aware of the probe.

A spokesman for NHS Tayside said: "We do not comment on matters relating to individual members."

A Scottish Government spokesman said: "The Cabinet Secretary has been made aware of these allegations, which are a matter for NHS Tayside.

"We expect the board to investigate any such allegations robustly and to take any necessary action, in line with their findings."
