Scot found dead alongside bodies of mother and daughter
Russell Steel, orginally from Scotland, was found in a property in Northern Ireland.
A Scot who was found dead in a flat in Northern Ireland alongside the bodies of a mother and daughter has been identified.
Giselle Marimon-Herrera, 37, and her 15-year-old daughter Allison were found dead at their apartment in Glin Ree Court, Newry on Thursday.
The body of 38-year-old Russell Steele, originally from Scotland, was also found at the address.
Police have said that the teenager was strangled to death and that there is a strong possibility her mother Giselle died in the same manner.
A murder enquiry has been launched, however detectives have confirmed they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the deaths.
Giselle was originally from Colombia and arrived in Northern Ireland around four years ago.
Her daughter Allison was born in Spain and had lived in Northern Ireland since 2017, attending Newry High School.
Detective Supt Jason Murphy said: "I can now confirm that the man found dead at the property in Glin Ree Court in Newry was 38-year-old Russell Steele, originally from Scotland."
