Speed camera set alight after spate of vandal attacks in the area
The device on the A1 near Cockburnspath in the Borders went on fire on Saturday.
A speed camera has been set alight on a main road from Scotland to England.
Police were called after the device on the A1 near Dunglass Roundabout, Cockburnspath went on fire just before midnight on Saturday.
The damage to the camera in the Borders is thought to be around £20,000.
There has been a spate of attacks on speed cameras in the area over recent months.
In December last year, thieves stole the housing from a camera on the A68 near St Boswells.
Two months earlier, a saw was used to damage cameras on the A68 near Earlston and Oxton.
