Body discovered in woods identified as man missing for 14 years
Colin Law was reported missing from his home in the Borders in May 1999.
Human remains found in woods in the Borders have been identified as a man who went missing 14 years ago.
Colin Law, 19, was reported missing from his home in the village of Gordon on May 19,1999.
Officers searched the surrounding area but found no sign of him.
In 2001, police carried out a search of 110 acres of dense marsh and woodland after someone came forward to say they saw Mr Law in that area.
He had been spotted walking by himself in Gordon Moss three days before he was reported missing.
On April 21, human remains were found in woodland near Gordon. On Tuesday, Police Scotland said they have identified the body as Mr Law.
They said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
Colin’s mother said: "Colin, I will miss you everyday for the rest of my life."
