Douglas Academy team has been crowned winners of STV's referendum debate competition.
STV's schools referendum debate competition has concluded, with a team from Douglas Academy winning the overall prize.
The contest saw eight secondary schools from across Scotland battling it out on issues including currency, NATO and whether nationalism still has a place in 21st century politics.
Four pupils from each school took place in knock out rounds before Douglas Academy took home the trophy.
Sharing their experiences of the contest on Scotland Tonight were two members of the victorious team, 17-year-olds Kirsten Tingle and Conor Ewing, and the research director of Ipsos Mori Scotland Mark Diffley, who was one of the competition's judges.
