Blaze rips through Edinburgh sports pavilion
Investigation is launched after a fire breaks out in a building used as a changing room for sports events at Sighthill Public Park.
An investigation has been launched after a blaze tore through a sports pavilion in Edinburgh.
Fire crews from Sighthill and Tollcross were called out to the building in Broomhouse Road at 3am.
The pavilion, which is used as a changing room for sports events at Sighthill Public Park, has been left severely damaged.
The fire started on the outside wall, but quickly spread to the roof and the inside of the building.
A spokesperson for Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service said: "It is suspected the fire was started maliciously, and an investigation is under way."
