Robert Inglis, 83, is alleged to have hit Paul Brady with his Mercedes in Avonbridge, Stirlingshire.
An elderly motorist allegedly ran into a man with his Mercedes and drove with him on his bonnet.
Robert Inglis, 83, is said to have run over a traffic cone before accelerating towards Paul Brady, in Avonbridge, Stirlingshire.
The pensioner, who faces a charge of dangerous driving, is then said to have struck Mr Brady with his car.
Inglis, of Avonbridge, is also said to have failed to comply with road signs and to have travelled on the wrong side of the road on Main Street, Avonbridge, where the incident reportedly happened on September 11.
The elderly man was not present at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday when his solicitor Andy Bryson asked for the case to be continued without plea.
Sheriff Gerry MacMillan agreed to continue the case until January 17.
