Walkers rescued after getting stuck near summit of Ben Lomond
A rescue helicopter was deployed after four hillwalkers got stuck on the Munro severe weather.
Four hillwalkers have been rescued after becoming trapped near the summit of Ben Lomond.
Lomond Mountain Rescue Team said they were called out on Wednesday afternoon after the group became hampered by "severe weather".
A coastguard rescue helicopter was deployed and rescued two walkers near the summit in "challenging conditions".
The two other walkers were located by rescuers and taken to waiting team vehicles.
Freezing temperatures and winds of up to 80mph had been forecast for the West Highland ranges on Wednesday .
The Mountain Weather Information Service said conditions would be "very difficult" in the area with "extreme wind chill" expected on higher peaks.
Mountain rescuers said the incident had been resolved shortly before 6pm.
The 3196ft Munro is located on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond in the Trossachs National Park.
