Elderly driver who died after two-car crash is named by police
David Campbell, 90, of Powmill, Dollar died after a crash on the A977 at Blairingone.
A 90-year-old driver who died six days after he was involved in a two-car crash has been named.
David Campbell, of Powmill, Dollar, sustained chest injuries as a result of the collision on the A977 at Blairingone in Perth and Kinross on Sunday, February 17.
He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital after the crash and died on Saturday.
The red Ford Ka he was driving collided with a silver Renault Megane at around 4.30pm and the man and woman in the Megane suffered minor injuries.
A police spokesman said: "Mr Campbell's family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that he will be greatly missed. They do not wish to make any further comments and have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
"Inquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are on-going and Tayside Police would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Tayside Police on 101."
As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
