Young people's initiative sees £250,000 raised for charities
Pupils from 80 schools were involved in this year's Youth and Philanthropy Initiative.
Young people from across Scotland have gathered in Perth to celebrate raising over £250,000 for local charities.
Pupils from 80 schools were involved in this year's Youth and Philanthropy Initiative which raises awareness among young people about charitable giving.
The children were set the challenge of securing £3000 for a charity of their choice.
They celebrated their achievements alongside Olympic gold medallist Katherine Grainger.
Ms Grainger said "It's an amazing gift to be able to give when you can do something for other people so I guess it's sharing what they've done and also relating it to some of the Olympians who are in a very similar situation.
"They're doing a lot for themselves but also helping people in the meantime."
The project began in Canada and has reached 80,000 students around the world. It is principally funded in Scotland by the Wood Family Trust.
