A female passenger tried to open the exit door on a Boston-bound flight from London while drunk, police have said.
The incident happened on British Airways flight 213 from London Heathrow to Boston Logan International Airport.
Massachusetts State Police said the woman, who is about 30, was taken into custody when the aircraft landed at the airport in Boston.
British Airways said the aircraft's crew had asked police to meet the flight due to an unruly passenger.
An earlier state police report that the woman had attempted to open the cockpit door was inaccurate, police said.
