She is charged with the murder of a man in Stockport whose body was found buried.
A woman has been charged with murder after human remains were found buried in a garden in Stockport.
It comes after a woman walked into a police station in Manchester and "disclosed that she had killed a man a number of years ago".
Police searched the garden of a home in the Reddish area and found the body of a man.
Barbara Coombes of Matlock Road has been charged with murder, preventing the lawful and decent burial of a dead body, fraud by false representation and obtaining a pecuniary advantage.
She remains in custody and is due to appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today.
