Death of two-month-old baby girl sparks police probe
A man and woman arrested over the tot's death have been released pending further inquiries.
An investigation has been launched after the death of a two-month-old baby in Dorset.
The baby girl was found struggling to breathe at a house in Sunnyside Road, Poole on Saturday.
She was taken to hospital where she later died.
A 28-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, from Poole, arrested over the baby's death have been released pending further inquiries.
A police spokesperson said: "At around 7.20am on Saturday 3 February 2018 officers were called to an address in Sunnyside Road in Poole following a report from the ambulance service of a two-month-old baby who was not breathing.
"The baby girl was taken to hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead.
"At this stage her death is being treated as unexplained and an investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the death."
