A 750-plant cannabis cultivation worth £375,500 has been seized by police at a house.

Officers acting under warrant raised the property in Lanarkshire on Wednesday morning as part of an intelligence-led drugs operations.

The recovered the haul of plants from a property on Strathaven Road in the Stonehouse area of Larkhall at around 9.30am.

A 60-year-old man has been arrested and is currently detained in police custody in connection with the recovery.

Detective inspector Kevin Jamieson said: "Information from members of the public is absolutely vital to our efforts to address drugs crime and keep people safe across the Lanarkshire area.

"We have teams of dedicated officers working in our communities every day, executing warrants and targeting drug dealers and this seizure reinforces our commitment to disrupting those criminals who engage in the supply of controlled drugs.
