The draw for the quarter finals of the 2015/16 Scottish Cup had to be redone after one of the plastic balls opened prematurely.

Scottish FA president Alan McRae called a halt to proceedings after the mistake, which was made on live TV.

Dundee United and Celtic had already been drawn to face each other in the last eight, with the winners of a replay between Dundee and Dumbarton being drawn at home for tie two before the error was made.

Former Celtic player Lubomir Moravcik appeared to be responsible for the technical fault, with footage showing the ball containing Greenock Morton bursting open when he was stirring the balls in the pot.

After beginning again, the draw at Hampden Park saw favourites Celtic drawn at home to Greenock Morton.

Holders Inverness were handed a tough tie with a trip to either Hibernian or Hearts.

The winners of the Rangers and Kilmarnock replay at Rugby Park will take on Dundee or Dumbarton, who have to play again after a goalless draw, while Ross County host Dundee United.

Ties will be played over the weekend of March 5 and 6.
