Police sealed off a supermarket petrol station in Glasgow after a man on the forecourt allegedly made threats to himself and staff.

The incident took place at the Morrisons supermarket at Anniesland in the north west of the city around 8pm on Sunday.

Police closed the area around the supermarket next to the main road A739 road linking Bearsden and Glasgow at Anniesland Cross as officers talked to the man.

No one was injured and the petrol station later reopened.

A man was detained in connection with the incident.
