Police have released images of three men following an attack outside a nightclub in Glasgow.

A 26-year-old man was seriously assaulted near the Cathouse club on the city's Union Street, with a Zimmer frame being thrown during the course of the incident.

The attack took place around 11.25pm on Wednesday, February 3 and left the victim needing hospital treatment.

Police wish to speak to the three men shown in the images and have asked anyone who recognises them to come forward.

The first man is described as a white, 30 to 40 years old, with a balding head and a medium build. He was wearing a dark jacket, dark trousers and was pushing a three-wheeled Zimmer or support frame.

The second man is white, 30 to 35 years old with a stocky build and short dark hair. He was wearing dark clothing and white trainers.

The third man is also described as white, 30 to 35 years old with a stocky build and light brown hair. He was wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans and dark footwear.

DC Stacy Smith from Greater Glasgow CID said: "This was a brazen attack in Glasgow city centre which has left a man requiring hospital treatment for serious injuries.

"We are not aware of the suspects’ motivation to attack the man at this time. Our enquiries continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the assault and I appeal to anyone who may have been walking or driving in the area and witnessed the incident to contact police.

"Anyone who recognises the three men described above is also asked to contact police at the City Centre Police Office via 101.”
