A motorcyclist who was involved in a serious road collision has died in hospital.

The 26-year-old, named by police as Jamie Thomson, was involved in a crash on March 19 in the Pollok area of Glasgow.

Mr Thomson came off his motorcycle after colliding with a bin lorry at the Braidcraft roundabout by Linthaugh Road and was tended to by an off-duty nurse who witnessed the incident.

He was then rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment but died as a result of his injuries on March 25 at around 5.10pm.
