Pupils at a Glasgow secondary school have scooped an enterprise award for their jewellery company.

The youngsters at Lochend Community High School won the Young Enterprise Scotland 2016 People's Choice Award and will now travel to London to represent Scotland in the competition.

They won for their Pure Chuffed company, which sells Glasgow-inspired jewellery including cufflinks and pendants. They designed and sold their jewellery range, which included the famous Duke of Wellington statue.

The pupils were crowned Glasgow Company of the Year in the regional awards and will now travel to London to represent Scotland in the competition.

More than 2000 students have taken part across Scotland, creating in excess of 200 new businesses.

Having already won their regional events, 15 finalists competed on Wednesday for an opportunity to represent Scotland in the UK finals held in London. Lochend won with a majority vote.
