More fans have been arrested over trouble at the Scottish Cup final at Hampden as the police hunt for those involved continues.

Four supporters were arrested by officers during dawn raids across central Scotland on Thursday morning in connection with disorder at the Rangers v Hibernian match on May 21.

Fighting broke out after Hibernian's 3-2 victory, with thousands of fans invading the pitch.

Widespread disorder forced police to call officers in on horses to help disperse the crowd.

Police arrested 15 people in an around the stadium in the south side of Glasgow on the day of the match but the total has now risen to 32 after a number of intelligence-led operations.

Four men, aged 20, 31, 40 and 42, were arrested during a number of dawn raids at 6am on Thursday in Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Edinburgh. They are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.

Detective superintendent Kenny Graham, who is leading the investigation, said: "This investigation is extensive and involves a significant number of people, however, we remain committed to identifying those involved and rest assured we will identify people and they will be arrested.

"As our investigation progresses, there will be additional arrests and continued police action to track down those responsible. I would ask if anyone has any information or knowledge about people involved or for anyone with information, including footage or images, to contact us."
