A man who was found murdered in his home had not been seen for almost three weeks.

Gordon Bolam was discovered in his flat in Kenmure Street in Glasgow's Pollokshields area last Thursday.

At the time of the discovery, police officers said they could not determine his identity because of the condition of his body.

On Tuesday, Police Scotland said the 68-year-old had last been seen on the afternoon of Monday, June 27, at the Adelphi Centre on Commercial Road in the Gorbals.

As part of their murder investigation, the force said it is continuing a forensic examination of the flat, as well as interviews with people who knew Mr Bolam.

Detective Chief Inspector Allan Burton said: "It is crucial that we speak to everyone who knew Gordon, who saw or has spoken to him within the last three weeks.

"Someone out there knows who did this and they need to come forward. Gordon was last seen on the afternoon of June 27 2016, at the Adelphi Centre in the Gorbals. It is important that we establish his movements and people he met after that.

"Gordon was an elderly gentleman who kept himself to himself and his family deserve justice, so if you have any information that will help piece together his movements or identify those responsible, I need to hear from you."

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101.
