CCTV images of a man have been released after a delivery driver was stabbed and his car petrol bombed last month.

The 29-year-old victim was sitting in his red Honda Jazz outside an Indian takeaway in Croftfoot, Glasgow, at around 6.50pm on Thursday, June 23, when a man opened the door and attacked him with a blade.

He was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment and needed surgery for a serious injury to his arm outside the Sultan takeaway in Castlemilk Road.

The suspect ran away and police arrived and launched an investigation.

Later that night, at about 10.55pm, the victim's car was being moved on to a removal lorry as part of the police probe when a man ran towards the vehicle and launched a petrol bomb.

The removal driver was not injured but the car was completely burnt out as a result.

Detectives have now released CCTV images of a man they are hunting in connection with the incident.

Detective Constable Peter McFarlane said: "I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or who recognises the man in the images to contact us as their information could assist with our investigation."

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
