Police have released images of four men wanted in connection with a "violent" assault in Glasgow city centre at the weekend.

Two men, aged 32 and 35, required hospital treatment after the attack on Bell Street, near Albion Street, at 2:50am on Sunday, July 24.

Officers are keen to speak to the four men (pictured) who they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

They are described as being white and aged around their mid 20s to late 30s.

Detective Constable Jamie Macleod, who is leading the investigation, said: "A violent assault like this within Glasgow City Centre cannot be tolerated and we seek the assistance of the public in tracking down those responsible.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Greater Glasgow Police on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously."
