Police have released a picture of a man they want to speak to in connection with a "vicious" assault on a woman.

The 32-year-old was attacked in the St Vincent Bar in Glasgow's St Vincent Street around 1.30am on Sunday February 14.

She was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where medics treated her for a facial injury.

Detectives have now issued an image of a man they say may be able to assist with enquiries.

He is described as white, aged 20-24 years, 5ft 7in in height, of slim build and with brown hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey jacket, jeans and trainers.

Detective constable Vikki Reid of Greater Glasgow CID said: "No-one should be subjected to a vicious attack when merely out enjoying themselves within a city centre establishment.

"I urge anyone who has information or anyone who recognises the man in the image to contact officers of Greater Glasgow CID based at City Centre Police Office."

Police can be contacted on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.
