A 19-year-old has been arrested in connection with the death of a 68-year-old man in Glasgow.

Gordon Bolam's badly decomposed body was discovered in his home in Kenmure Street, in the Pollokshields area of the city July 14.

Police later confirmed Mr Bolam had last been seen alive almost three weeks prior, on the afternoon of June 27.

When Mr Bolam's body was discovered, officers were initially unable determine his identity due to the condition of his body.

Police Scotland said: "A 19-year-old man has been arrested and detained in police custody in connection with the death.

"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
