A teenager has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 68-year-old man.

Imrich Joni, 19, is alleged to have killed Gordon Bolam and also faces a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Mr Bolam's decomposed body was discovered in his home in Kenmure Street, in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow on July 14.

Police later confirmed Mr Bolam had last been seen alive almost three weeks before on the afternoon of June 27.

Joni made no plea or declaration when he appeared in private from custody at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

He was remanded in custody by sheriff Andrew Mackie and will appear for a full committal hearing next week.
