A search has been launched for a 17-year-old girl who has not been seen since Friday.

Monique Marshall disappeared on Friday and was last seen around noon on the same day in Glasgow city centre.

Monique has family and friends in the Dundee area and it is possible she may have travelled to that area.

She is described as around 5ft 6in, with a slim build, dark brown hair and brown eyes.

When last seen, she was wearing a black Adidas top, grey jeans, white trainers and carrying a cream coloured handbag.

Officers have launched a search for the teenager an appealed to the public for help in tracing her.

Police say that over the past few days she has been speaking to friends but there has been no contact from her since Monday and concern for her is growing.

A statement from Police Scotland said: "Enquiries are under way to try to locate her and officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen Monique or who has any information as to her whereabouts to contact them at Kirkintilloch Police Office on 101."
