Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a serious assault earlier this year.

Two men were involved in a disturbance on Duke Street, Glasgow, at around 5.55pm on January 23, leaving a teenager in hospital.

The incident occurred outside the G101 store and the Alexandra Bar, near the junction with Millerston Street.

A 17-year-old man suffered a serious neck injury as a result and was initially taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

He was later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he underwent surgery for his injury.

Officers investigating the assault are keen to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV footage and have asked anyone who recognises him to contact police.

The man is described as white, aged between 16 and 20 years of age with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark blue fleece with grey sleeves, black trousers and dark trainers at the time of the attack.

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at London Road Police Office on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be given anonymously.
