Concern is growing for an elderly man with dementia who has been missing for two days.

Henry Patterson, 83, from Bishopbriggs, was last seen in the East Dunbartonshire town on Balmuildy Road at Hilton Gardens at 1pm on Monday.

His family and police are extremely concerned for his well-being as he suffers from dementia and may appear confused as he does not normally leave the house on his own.

Mr Patterson is described as white, 5ft 8in and slim. He has thinning white hair and a ruddy complexion.

He was last seen wearing a brown fleece and grey trousers. He may be wearing a flat cap and in possession of a pipe.

Mr Patterson has been known to visit Bishopbriggs town centre, his local library and the Morrisons store.

He also likes to visit Oregano, Springfield Cambridge Church, Strathkelvin Industrial Park and Dobbies in Milngavie.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
