Police searching for a missing Clydebank teenager have issued a fresh appeal three weeks on from his disappearance.

Scott Diver, 16, was last seen at his home in Second Avenue at around 2.45pm on Saturday, September 17.

Despite an extensive search for him and several reported sightings, police have drawn a blank about his whereabouts.

Scott is around 5ft 7in tall with a slim build, blue eyes and dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a navy blue Adidas tracksuit with light blue stripes down the arms and legs, a white t-shirt and navy blue Adidas trainers with grey stripes.

On Saturday, officers returned to Dalmuir Park to continue the search for the teenager.

Inspector John Mullen from Clydebank Police Office said Scott's family were "extremely worried" and desperate for him to be found safe.

He said: "I would continue to urge anyone who recognises Scott, or who has any information regarding his whereabouts, to contact officers as soon as possible.

"We know that Scott was captured on CCTV walking through Dalmuir Park, in the direction of the park entrance at Mountblow Road, around 2.43pm on the day he went missing.

"I would ask anyone who may have seen him that day to come forward as you may have information that could assist with our enquiry."

Insp Mullen said he wanted to appeal directly to Scott, to urge him to contact someone to let them know he is safe.

He added: "You're not in any trouble, but there are a lot of people worried about you and we need to know that you are ok."

Anyone with information should contact officers on 101.
