Concern is growing for a vulnerable Hamilton man who disappeared on Sunday.

Gerard Reilly was last seen by a family member in Alness Terrace around 11pm, and police have been unsuccessful in trying to trace him.

His family has not heard from him since and a public appeal has been launched. Police say the 52-year-old has recently been dealing with "personal issues" and the disappearance is out of character.

Mr Reilly is white, with a medium build and around 5ft 8in tall. He has receding brown hair and has an 'Oor Wullie' tattoo on his right arm and a 'Bart Simpson' tattoo on his left forearm.

Anyone who who has seen him or who has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts is urged to contact officers at Hamilton Police Office on 101.
