Passengers have been injured in a crash between a bus and car during rush hour.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene of the smash in Paisley, Renfrewshire, on Wednesday morning.

The incident involved a single-decker McGill's bus and a Volvo on Invanhoe Road in Foxbar at around 9.25am.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said it is not yet known how many people were hurt but some were treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries.

She added: "Around 9.25am, we received a report of a collision between a car and a bus on Ivanhoe Road, Foxbar, Paisley.

"There were passengers on the bus. The vehicles were uplifted following the incident."
