A further four fans have been arrested as part of the probe into a pitch invasion at the Scottish Cup final in May.

The men, aged between 25 and 46, were arrested in connection with alleged violence and disorder at the Hibernian v Rangers match on Saturday, May 21, at Hampden. It brings the total number of arrests to 85.

Thousands of Hibs fans flooded on to the pitch at the national stadium in Glasgow to celebrate their team's 3-2 win over Championship rivals Rangers.

A smaller number of fans of the Ibrox side also ran on to the pitch, with some supporters from both sides involved in violent clashes.

Police said the investigation is still continuing into the disorder and appealed for anyone with information to come forward. The men are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
