A man has been arrested after gunshots were fired at a flat in Glasgow earlier this month.

The incident happened at around 12.25am on Tuesday, October 4, when a firearm was discharged towards a flat in Southdeen Avenue, Drumchapel.

Police said no one was in the flat at the time and no one was injured but a window had been damaged by the bullet.

They launched a major hunt for those behind the attack and have now confirmed a 20-year-old man has been arrested.

He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.

A statement from Police Scotland said: "A 20-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the incident.

"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
